Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing students for success in business-related careers through informative business workshops, team-building activities, and leadership conferences, where students compete against those from other FBLA chapters. Since its inception in 1937, FBLA has grown to become the largest student run organization in the world.
University High School's chapter of Future Business Leaders of America is located in the Southern Section of California FBLA. UHS FBLA has been recognized as one of the largest and oldest clubs on campus. How we strive for success can be best described by FBLA's motto: Service, Education, and Progress.
ServiceEach year, UHS FBLA participates in community service events, such as volunteering at the Shadetree Nursery and making holiday cards for hospitalized children. Our members also complete the Go Green state project, which emphasizes the importance of protecting the environment. We understand the importance of giving back to the community and plan to organize even more community service projects.

EducationThrough hard work, teamwork, and active learning, UHS FBLA has had strong showings in competitive events on business-related topics at the annual Section, State and National Leadership Conferences. (See our Competition Records page for competitive event results!) By taking advantage of the variety of business-related competitive events that FBLA has to offer, we educate ourselves on the skills needed to become future business leaders.

ProgressOur members are continually striving to improve both the chapter and themselves. Each year, we aim to perform even better than the year before by increasing membership, participating in state projects and sending more members to represent University High School at the National Leadership Conference. It is this spirit of dedication, determination, and progress that makes participation in UHS FBLA a rewarding experience.
